2D ToonBoom Animator (AN-0718)
Lighthouse Studios is looking for some talented 2D Animators to join our team in Kilkenny. You will be working closely with your supervisor, the animation director and your team to create and shape a high-quality kid’s series for Amazon (12x22min).
- 2D ToonBoom Animator
- Full-time in house employee (Salary based)
- Location: Kilkenny, Ireland
- Start Date: as soon as possible
- The applicant must be eligible to work within the EEA and willing to relocate to Ireland if required.
- At least 2+ years of experience in ToonBoom 2D cut out animation
- An eye for detail and a good understanding regarding "principles of animation"
- A strong sense of animation timing, posing, weight and storytelling
- Ready to work in a fast pace series environment
- Good sense and understanding of planning, posing and animating high quality animation
- Excellent knowledge of ToonBoom Harmony
- Excellent knowledge of rig based animation
- Fluent in English (a plus)

Talent Acquisition Specialist for Cartoon Saloon and Lighthouse Studios With all this fantastic expansion and recruitment going on in Kilkenny, we now need to bring someone in to work with us on it! Cartoon Saloon and Lighthouse Studios (AKA Drawn to Kilkenny) are looking for someone to come and work with us to bring in and development top talent from around the world. The ideal person will be able to bring their own industry experience and pipeline knowledge in order to create a success recruitment and selection plan for the studios.
Will work with the different productions to learn their specific pipelines and softwares in order to create a pool of talent to choose from when required
Meeting weekly and working with the Studio Managers and Production Managers to determine recruitment needs
Create adverts and push out to all and every relevant site to get the furthest reach in the industry.
Applicant tracking from initial response to offer/rejection communication
Coordinating all who will be involved in the selection of each role; from initial application to offer/rejection
Tracking and coordinating testing of candidates
Travel to different industry events to meet and recruit for the studios.
Outreach and building relationships with schools and colleges
Work on a plan to develop crew and departments based on future role requirements
Ensure compliance with all employment regulations
Communicate with HR to ensure start dates and onboarding fits with studio schedule and equipment availability.
Based in Kilkenny
Must have working knowledge of the animation industry and different pipelines/softwares
Ideally, would have previous experience in recruitment (even as part of previous animation role)
Extremely organised and efficient in their process
Willing to relocate to Kilkenny
Willing to travel as part of the role
Experience in recruitment softwares a benefit

We are currently looking for experienced Compositing Artists to join our team in Kilkenny. This role would suit an organised, detail-oriented individual who is capable of maintaining a high level of visual and technical quality throughout the series.
Preferably at least one year experience on digital TV series projects
A good understanding of the animation pipeline
Excellent creative and technical knowledge of composition
Toon Boom Harmony experience a plus
Strong troubleshooting skills
Comfortable in working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced series environment.
This role is only open to applicants eligible to work within the EEA and willing to relocate to Ireland if required.
